Our Courses

NHAAO Mission Statement

The New Hampshire Association of Assessing Officers (NHAAO) is dedicated to “Valuing New Hampshire” with the highest standards of professionalism, ethical standards and providing education and information to promote excellence in property appraisal and assessment administration through professional development.

Expectation of Participants

NHAAO courses are comparable to college level courses. Participants should come to class prepared to participate in lectures, work problems and reviews, read all suggested materials and complete assigned homework.

Registration Information

Participants are required to complete a Registration Form and submit the appropriate fees prior to the start of a course as directed on the form.

Cancellation Policy

Registrants must cancel in writing. Cancellation must be received by the education coordinator 7 days prior to commencement of the course/seminar. Registrants who cancel three (3) days prior to a course/seminar will be charged $25.00. In the case of an emergency, the $25.00 charge may be waived. No refund will be given if cancellation is received less than 3 days prior to the beginning of the course/seminar. In the case of an IAAO course where a textbook has been ordered, registrants must pay for the textbook. NHAAO is not responsible for expenses incurred by the registrant (air fare, hotel, etc.) if a course is cancelled. If a registrant is unable to attend the course, a substitute from the jurisdiction that paid the registration fee can attend at no additional cost. NHAAO reserves the right to cancel any event if necessary and provide a full refund. Refunds will be issued within 30 days of the date of the course.

Locations and Facilities

Courses will be held at the location identified on the Registration Form.

Confirmations

Confirmation of registrations will be provided prior to the start of a course.

Time Schedule

Participants should be in attendance by 8:30 AM on the first day of a course. Sessions will generally be held from 8:30AM to 4:30PM daily unless otherwise stated on the Registration Form.

Textbook and Calculators

The required textbooks are listed on the Registration Form along with the fee including sales tax for purchase (if applicable). They will be provided to the registrant on the first day of class. It is the responsibility of the registrant to purchase the textbook prior to the course to ensure a copy is available for the course.

Continuing Education

Daily attendance will be verified during the week. Exams are required for licensure/certification purposes. Courses are approved for continuing education by the New Hampshire Real Estate Appraiser Board and by the Department of Revenue Administration for CNHA continuing education. Details are included on each registration form.
